United target Kroos ‘wants to leave’ – Balague

Professional Manchester United transfer target Toni Kroos “wants to leave” Real Madrid in the summer, according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.
Spanish journalist Balague believes the Germany midfielder is keen to quit the Bernabeu and claimed there will be an all mighty fight for the 26-year-old’s services in the summer.
“I do believe he wants to leave Real,” Balague told Sky Sports.
“It will be a fight for anyone to get him, but he would be ideal for Manchester United. There will be a fight for him this summer.”
United were keen on Kroos two years ago before Louis van Gaal arrived at Old Trafford and if Jose Mourinho arrives at United in the summer then Kroos would certainly fit the bill.
Mourinho had left the Bernabeu before Kroos arrived, but the Portuguese boss’ willingness to play with two holding midfielders makes Kroos a valid target.
Michael Carrick, 34, is yet to be offered a new contract and Marouane Fellaini’s future could well be in doubt in the summer.
Kroos has made 32 appearances for Real this term and is in the plans of boss Zinedine Zidane, but there is believed to be unrest behind the scenes in the Spainish capital and Kroos is just one of numerous stars who could move on in the summer.
Isco and James Rodriguez are believed to be up for sale at the end of the season, while reports suggest Kroos would cost at least £31million.
AS reported this week that Kroos was considering an offer to join Arsenal this summer after Real reportedly accepted a bid in the region of £35million for him.
The former Bayern Munich enforcer was linked with Chelsea and Liverpool in January.
